These are different products and the price should reflect it.
Returns have been through a customer. Some perfect, some broken, and you sort the spread yourself.
Overstock never left the shelf. Unsold because a shop over-ordered or a range got discontinued.
Failure rates on overstock are far lower. You pay more, and whether that's worth it depends on what your sorting time costs.

Test all electricals before listing.
Missing parts on boxed items, common with returns.
Freight cost stated upfront, not at checkout.
Where you buy it
You've seen the threads. Someone pays for a pallet and it's damaged goods and empty boxes.
Buying through an actual distributor takes most of that out. You get the piece count, whether it's returns or overstock, and where it came from. Freight sorted properly. Someone real on the phone.
