Check for storage marks and yellowing, especially on whites, which happens even in packaging.

Look for damp and mildew, which ruins whole loads and never comes out.

Check pillows and duvets for clumping, since filling shifts and compresses in long storage.

Confirm sets are complete, as pillowcases go missing from duvet sets.

Check fire safety labels on pillows and duvets, which are a legal requirement.

The hygiene point

Bedding counts as intimate goods for resale in some contexts.

Anything opened, used, or with broken packaging shouldn't be sold as new. Sealed sets are fine.

Mattress protectors especially, since buyers ask.

Practical stuff

Bulky but light, so a pallet takes more space than the weight suggests.

Storage must be dry. Fabric picks up damp fast and it's terminal.
