So what's on a handbags pallet? Totes, crossbodies, shoulder bags, clutches, backpacks, purses and wallets. Mostly high street and own-label brands, mix of leather and synthetic.
Most is retailer overstock and returns. A colour stops selling once the season turns, or someone ordered online and didn't like it in person.
Why bags work
Margins hold up well. A bag retailing at fifty might cost you three or four on a pallet. Even selling at fifteen, that works nicely.
Demand stays fairly steady, then spikes around Christmas and Mother's Day. Bags are an easy gift, which helps.
Market traders do well with them. So do boutiques, gift shops, and loads of people selling on Vinted and Marketplace. They photograph well, which matters more than you'd think.
What to actually check
Handles and straps first. That's where bags fail, and a broken strap makes one near worthless.
Zips next. Same story as coats, it's the most common fault on returns.
Check linings properly. People return bags after using them, and a stained or torn lining is easy to miss if you're just glancing in.
Look at hardware too. Cheap plating flakes off in storage, and tarnished clasps look tired straight away.
Storage matters more here than most categories. Bags stored damp get mildew, and it never really comes out of fabric linings.
Now the important bit. Counterfeit designer handbags are everywhere in wholesale, and genuine luxury stock doesn't reach pallets. If a load claims big-name designer at pallet prices, it isn't real.
Selling fakes is a criminal matter, not just a policy breach. Ask where stock came from and expect a straight answer.
Where you buy it
You've seen the threads. Someone pays for a handbag pallet and it's fakes with broken straps.
Buying through an actual distributor takes most of that out. You get told what brands are in the load, what condition, and where it came from. Freight sorted properly. Someone real on the phone.
That's it from us. We say what we've got, send it over, and you decide if it stacks up.
