Hardwood Flooring Pallets – Wholesale Bulk Flooring Inventory
Welcome to our Hardwood Flooring Pallets collection. So what's on a flooring pallet? Solid hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, and LVT planks. Usually boxed by the square metre.
Most is retailer overstock, discontinued lines, and contractor returns. A range gets dropped, or a job overordered and sent the surplus back.
Coverage is the number that matters
Everything in flooring comes down to square metres, not pallet count.
Ask for total coverage before anything else. A pallet might hold 20 square metres or 80 depending on plank thickness.
Then work out your cost per square metre. That's the only figure worth comparing against retail.
Batch matching is the big risk
This is the thing that catches people out badly.
Wood and laminate vary in shade between production batches. Two pallets of the same product can be visibly different when laid side by side.
So a load made up of mixed batches can't cover a single room properly. It's only good for small jobs or separate spaces.
Ask whether a pallet is single batch. If it isn't, price accordingly and sell it as such.
What to check
Moisture damage first. Wood that's sat in a damp warehouse warps, and warped planks are unusable.
Check boxes for water staining along the bottom edge, which is the tell.
Look for cupping or bowing on individual planks.
Check for broken tongue and groove edges, common when boxes get dropped.
Confirm the wear layer thickness on engineered wood, since that determines how many times it can be sanded.
Check AC ratings on laminate, which tell buyers what traffic it handles.
Practical stuff
Flooring is heavy. A pallet can run well over a tonne, so you need proper handling equipment.
Storage must be dry and flat. Stacked wrong, planks bow permanently.
Acclimatisation matters too. Wood needs time in the room before fitting, and buyers should know that.
Who buys these
Flooring shops, builders, landlords, and property developers. Plus DIY buyers doing single rooms.
Where you buy it
You've seen the threads. Someone buys flooring and it's mixed batches that don't match.
Buying through an actual distributor takes most of that out. You get the coverage figure, batch information, and condition. Freight handled by people who move heavy pallets. Someone real on the phone.
