Model names do the selling. People search for a specific shoe rather than scrolling, which makes listings easier.
Independent shops buy this way. So do market traders at the nicer end, plus plenty of people selling on Vinted and Depop.
Being straight about supply
Some of these brands produce deliberately small volumes, so they don't turn up in bulk.
Veja especially. They're a small operation and their whole model is built against overproduction. You'll see returns, not dedicated pallets.
Anyone offering large volumes of the scarcer brands at low prices is telling you something that isn't true.
What to check
Size spread first, same as any footwear. Ask for the ratio before committing.
Check soles and midsoles for genuine wear, since some come back after real use.
Confirm pairs match and both shoes are present.
Box condition matters more at this end, since buyers care about presentation.
Check insoles are still in, as they go missing on returns.
And watch for counterfeits, which exist even with smaller brands.
Where you buy it
