Wholesale Rugs Carpet Pallet

Wholesale Rugs and Carpet Pallet

So what's on a rugs pallet? Area rugs, runners, doormats, bath mats, sometimes carpet tiles and offcuts. Mix of sizes, materials, and patterns depending what came through.

Most is retailer overstock and returns. Colours go out of fashion, a range gets discontinued, or someone ordered a rug online and it clashed with everything.

Why rugs work

Prices are strong for what they cost you. A rug retailing at a hundred and twenty might cost you eight or ten on a pallet. Even at forty, that's decent money.

Demand stays steady all year. People move house constantly, and a rug is one of the first things they buy for a bare room.

Market traders do well with these. So do home shops, carpet places, and loads of people selling locally on Marketplace. Buyers like seeing the colour in person before committing.

What to actually check

Unroll everything. Sounds obvious, but people don't, and damage hides in the middle of a rolled rug.

Look for damp and mould especially. Rugs stored badly pick it up, and the smell never really shifts. That's the single biggest thing that ruins a load.

Check for pulls, snags, and burn marks. Returns sometimes come back after real use, not just a trial.

Fading matters too. Rugs stacked near windows lose colour on the exposed edge, and it shows once it's on a floor.

Now the practical bit. Rugs are heavy and awkward, so a pallet weighs more than you'd expect. Make sure you can actually move it when it arrives.

Storage needs to be dry. Damp concrete will ruin stock in weeks, so keep them raised and off the floor.

Where you buy it

You've seen the threads. Someone pays for a rug pallet and it turns up smelling of damp with half of it unsellable.

Buying through an actual distributor takes most of that out. You get told what sizes are in the load, what condition, and where it came from. Freight handled properly. Someone real on the phone.

That's it from us. We say what we've got, send it over, and you decide if it stacks up.
